Big Rump
I've finally got around to writing about Big Rump in detail.I've decided to go a remote mixing route. Meaning I control a mixer from somewhere in the house over the wireless network. Big Rump was made to facilitate this task.
It's really nothing more than a button panel laid out in a way that resembles the on screen mixer. I made it by gutting a normal usb keyboard and wiring the contacts to all the buttons. I especially like the arcade machine buttons I used for up down and mute control.
Using the software that I used from the wii mixer idea, I wrote a script that interprets the button presses and performs an action on screen. When used with a mouse I'm almost faster than if I had the actual mixer in front of me. It's a continual work in progress but I'm at a point where I get reliable control with out running any power or snake out to where I'm sitting. I'll post some pictures of the actual remote station soon.

The Answer
Once again I've been handed the Answer.
This seems to be happening to me more and more often. 42 is having a weird reoccurring role in my life.
