Long Drives

I recently had a gig in fabulous Las Vegas. However I was driving the equipment truck so it was slightly less fabulous.

It took a long 12+ hour drive to get to our hotel in Vegas. The check engine light came on in the rental truck and I couldn't clear 55mph. 40mph in some places.

Here is Brandon just after we arrived tired as hell but oddly excited by neon lights.

Our gig was in the USAF Thunderbirds hangar. I managed to take a picture of the stunt team in their natural resting habitat.

And here is the Gig Pic from that night.

My Favorite Places

I had a gig down in Anaheim for the Namm show. This is one of my favorite places as there are many great places to eat and hang out. One such place is Tacos Mi Pueblo. Troy and Leo know what's up.

So I have my requisite chorizo burrito and life is good. Here we have Brandon with his sombrero posing after the happy hour at Embassy suites and some delicious mexican food.

Loogle For Reals!

I have the best friends in the world. Nate sent me this shirt he had made up for me. Now everyone will know my amazing ability to know large quantities of useless knowledge. Maybe I could work this into a superhero get-up. I could fight evil doers with my geeky prowess. (Which means bore them to death with whatever I start talking about.)

Loogle Away!!!

This Blows

Matt asked me if I could help him blow insulation into his attic. Being that I'm always interested in finding out what will happen I say yes.

We start by going to Home Depot and getting about a dozen brick of cellulose insulation. Recycled paper fluff bricks.

We get the machine back to his house. I proceed to break one of the bricks up while Matt climbs in the attic. The machine grinds up the stuff but won't blow it out. I struggle to get it working but no dice.

We return the machine defeated.

We try again about a week later this time with the fiberglass stuff. The pink panther must mean it's high quality.

Matt dons his protective suit. He looks like someone from that scene in willy wonka. This time the machine works like a charm. We are able to cover both attics in warming pink snow.

Comedy Club Sound Guy

I went to laughs unlimited in Sacramento recently to see a friend perform. They introduced their first guy who was to be the host and he comes out. But there is no microphone. The guy in the back running the console goes, "Oh Yeah" and scurries off to get a mic.

Now I consider myself pretty good at what I do not the best by any means. However I always try to make sure I have everything I need before the show starts. I usually use a checklist or some other procedure to make sure I have everything.

Had this guy had a checklist it would have had only one item.

Mic for comedian.......check?

This was just plain embarrassing.

Idaho Trip

Once again I forgot to do my gig pic but I did manage to get a picture in the van coming from the airport. It's not great but I can definitely see Jason's unintentional flipping me off.

Trapped

I saw this on my trip to Idaho. I hope every fat person doesn't have the image of a ripped guy trying to get out. Although it must be good for their own self image.

Either that or I'm missing the idea that the fat guy ate the in shape guy and is just washing it down.
