Skittles Vodka

I'm having a small party at my place to celebrate my getting out of ALS. It's also a bon voyage for Cassie.

I tried my hand at making skittles vodka.

Here is the first step Add vodka and skittles and wait for them to dissolve.

I hope it turns out good I've always been slightly interested to taste a drunken rainbow.

ALS Graduation

I'm at the club on base and the ALS class is setting up the dinner. I'm kind of angry that I, as well as the rest of the people I was forced to invite, paid $20 for this dinner and had to help set it up.

Interesting,

View Of The Bay

Two days ago a Captain from the coast guard, who is going to speak at our ALS graduation, offered to take the class up in his c-130 and fly us around the bay.

After my experience with c-130s in the desert I could have cared less. They are noisy and uncomfortable. Not so with this on. They pushed the palletized passenger seats on this one. It was super comfortable.

If you ignore the dingus in the shot you can see the nicely painted c-130.

This was the real cool part. They opened the rear door and flew around the bay. That's the golden gate bridge you see. This picture does not do it justice. We flew directly over it and very close. We flew all over the bay and I later found out we were as low as 200 feet. I could have dove out and lived.

This was a really cool experience. I was the first one to say I didn't want to go but I'm glad I did.

ALS

I've been attending Airman Leader Ship School for the past two weeks and I really don't like it. I understand that I have to learn the things that they are teaching me but I just don't like the way they do it. It's really more about mechanics than content.

Anyway,

I was forced to volunteer today. I really don't think I can call it volunteering. We had to paint at the thrift shop on base. It was fine and over with quickly. I did however find an interesting book that I'd like to follow in my day to day life. I really think it will help me deal with my problems.
